“My metabolism has changed and now I’m gaining weight!”

So often I have women and men ask how I maintain my weight. They are having struggles like we all do at some point in our lives. That’s why I decided to write about metabolism this week and share with you what has worked for me.

Obesity waist circumference My metabolism has changed and now I’m gaining weight!Metabolism is the rate at which we burn calories. It involves a collection of hormones and enzymes that convert our food into fuel, determines the efficiency of how we burn that fuel and affects the pace at which we gain or lose weight. As we age, metabolism slows at an average rate of 5 percent each decade. This explains why our body becomes especially sensitive to weight gain when approaching our 60s.

How many times have we heard health practitioners or weight gurus over-simplify the solution for keeping those L-Bs from creeping up by telling us to just stay active and cut your calorie intake? If you do this, so say these seeming experts, you can stay slim and trim. Sounds good, doesn’t it? But how we wish it was all that easy.

I’ve been fortunate most of my life until I began feeling my sixth decade approaching. Keeping my weight within the parameters that made me feel the best wasn’t much of a big deal before then. But as 60 came barreling down on me, I began gaining weight around my middle—the place most dangerous for it to occur. The place that tells us our vital organs can be put at risk and the sign that acid is involved. But still I figured, “Hey, I’m at the age I’ll probably just gain, so get over it.” Then I learned and experienced how redox signaling molecules played a role in overall health and how important they can be for metabolism.

As time went on, I found after about 6 months of taking this extensively researched redox signaling product, I began trimming down around my middle; the very place I needed it most. Today, as I write this article, I am the same size I was 25 to 30 years ago. I attribute it to this redox signaling product giving me that extra boost toward balance. The benefits of this supplement are too many to name and each day I realize I can correct internal balance by drinking my Kangen alkaline ionized water and supplementing with Asea along with my traditional supplements. I truly feel at the top of my game. So if you are wondering how to get control of your metabolism, you might want to watch this video on the double-blind study that verifies what I have been telling you.
